Cain and Abel can help us enable :)

I just wonder, how 5 mins sleep in the morning after the alarm goes off actually turns to be 45 mins :O :O

As usual, I got up late before I could rush into a state of running around the house I quickly held my Bible and went through a chapter. And my eyes glistened as I read Genesis 4:6-7 as if I’ve never read that before.

Genesis 4:6 -7  The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is couching at the door; its desire is for you, but you must master it.”

I couldn’t believe that these words actually existed in the Bible, and added to it – it was said by God himself?? Then this is something we need to be aware and act accordingly!

Its so common in our everyday life to look at others with their lands and gold and cars or their talents or promotions and get upset. Our face shows that we aren’t happy about their success because we’ve compared ourselves to someone who is better than us may be at work, or home or society or even in the church…

God looks at us and asks… Why are you frustrated and stressed? Why has your face changed? Can God be wrong in his judgement? Can God be partial? No not at all… He’s saying clearly if you do well, will you not be accepted? But if we do not do well, sin is couching at the door! This is a CAUTION….!! And God desires that we overcome sin lying at our door step.

Well, after the caution, immediately in the next few verses we see Cain inviting sin sitting at the door of his heart to enter and destroy him. He ended up with a murder and life sentence as a wanderer.

Most often or not – when things do not go well, when we feel situations in life are unfavorable to us. We get offended, we look outside, we look at others and get angry and frustrated. But if only if we could look into ourselves and ask God to show us how we could do better. We will not only Change ourselves but will become channels of blessings for others!

God never justified about why he choose Abel’s offering. He just says Cain hasn’t done well to be accepted. Instead of seeking why others are blessed, why others are doing well it is better to find our own flaws and get better each day and be blessed.

I was greatly touched by these verses this morning I hope it touches you too 🙂
