Strong Foundation

Every break I take, every sip I take from my cup is with this view across my eyes. Yes, this is a view from my office cafeteria.

Since August, I overlook this site during my breaks and nothing seems to happen, it looks the same. At the outside, it looks like a no work has been done, but its been months since this work is happening.

In a few years, there will be a majestic building which will awe everyone. We love majesty and glory but it needs to be built on strong foundation, if not the glory will fade and fall!

The foundation is being made strong – Sometimes breaking hard huge rocks, sometimes filling the holes, sometimes leaving the accumulated water to dry, sometimes huge trolleys and cranes are used, sometimes a few people are running around setting the things right. The huge uneven land is made level with different tools, different techniques, with different procedures – the reason is simple, stronger the foundation, stronger the building! If the foundation isn’t strong, the building wont last long!

This is how we need to train our little ones, to identify with them – to understand their needs, to break the wrong ones, to give time sometimes to let them understand on their own and sometimes using different tools. Its not a simple solution, it is making the right choices each time to give children a strong foundation.

The problem that faces today’s world is – individuals are built on twisted beliefs, weak fundamentals and the building is already built. This is quite a distress, the building has to fall, it has to burn away and it needs to be rebuilt with strong fundamentals by strengthening the foundation.

The toughest is when we need to demolish the building – some are 35, some 40 and some 60 and 70! How hard to just burn the building we’ve built without a strong foundation…??

And everyday individuals are facing a choice to demolish and rebuild or make superficial short term fixes!

Whats your choice today?

1 Corinthians 3:11
For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 28:16
Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation:  ‘He who believes will not be in haste.’
Matthew 7: 24
“Every one then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock
Acts 4: 10-12
By the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead
This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, but which has become the head of the corner.
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

  1. You are so right…much better to build the right foundation the first time rather than have to rebuild. What a precious gift we can give our children by raising them on the Cornerstone from their youth!

    • Compliments of the season Lindsey

Lays such a great responsibility on us… I see so many patterns in individuals which mostly arise due to the situations around and parental upbringing… Im sure you would be able to relate to it much better. Unless we have Jesus and give JEsus to our children, they will be having the same negative roots…
