I received a Watsapp video on the group, an awesome short film that everyone should watch.

If you’ve watched this short film, you can relate to my post better.

The video beautifully captures how the little bird “Piper” learns to overcome its FEAR of the forceful waves.

We all experience “FEAR” almost everyday and it translates into many many words that are used invariably at all times of the day – afraid, scared, worried, panic, dread, nervous, anxious etc with varying intensity and contexts.

What is the evidence of FEAR? Why do we Fear? Have we ever asked that question why while we experience FEAR?

The Bible provides the evidence for FEAR in the very beginning of Genesis. Every Christian is aware of the creation story and how the serpent deceived Eve into DISOBEDIENCE and the reaction of Adam and Eve was “FEAR”.

Genesis 3-9:  And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”

Now start relating with the video, God is powerful like the mighty sea – the touch of God can be very very very very mighty.. We can’t stand it. We think God is the problem like the little Piper thought the sea was the problem, we don’t accept the reality of God and that he exists!!!

The moment when we realize the presence, beauty and glory of God we don’t “Fear” anything, our child like trust will keep us hopping, enjoying the beauty of our lives and we begin to become little channels of God through whom God pours his love to others..

Bible clearly distinguishes the two kinds of Fear

Fear as an Action – One that is a deep respect and awe for God (Proverbs 1:7 – The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge)

Fear as a Reaction – When we do not fear God, we fear everything else. This is a natural reaction to something we sense is going to harm us. That’s the reason, “Do no Fear” has been used several times in the Bible directly to people in difficult situation. [Angel of the Lord said to Mary, The Lord said to Joshua, Isaiah the prophet uses it invariably]

Fear not, Trust God!!!

There is freedom, joy, and immeasurable blessings in Trusting the Lord, Fear will have no place.

What are your fears today?
